HyperOS 3 will be the absolute final major OS upgrade for these phones, meaning they will miss out on future AI features and UI overhauls.
Even though major updates will stop, these devices will still receive regular security patches for a certain period according to the official policy.
Today’s discussion is about an important issue for Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO users. Many phones have already received or are getting HyperOS 3, but not all phones have the same software support. For some devices, getting the final HyperOS 3 update means they will no longer receive any major OS upgrades. That is, these phones will no longer receive any major updates to HyperOS 4 or later.
