TCL has expanded its 2026 lineup with the launch of the T6D (Standard QLED) and T89D (QD-Mini LED) series.
The premium T89D series features a 144Hz refresh rate, superior QD-Mini LED local dimming, and 35W Onkyo-tuned audio.
The budget-friendly T6D series starts at ₹32,990 (43-inch), while the premium T89D series starts at ₹51,990 for the 55-inch variant.

TCL has launched two new QLED TV series for 2026 in the Indian market – T6D and T89D. Both are built on 4K resolution QLED panels, but you will find a clear difference in picture quality, sound and premium features. These two new series target different types of buyers in the mid-range and premium TV segment.
TCL T6D and T89D Specifications
TCL T6D series is the budget-friendly standard QLED version. It uses a standard QLED panel, which supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG. Refresh rate is 60Hz (up to 120Hz in gaming mode on some models), motion smoothing is done with MEMC technology.
The processor uses TCL AiPQ Engine, which optimizes the picture with AI. RAM is 2GB and storage is 16GB, which should be sufficient for standard Google TV usage. Connectivity includes 3 HDMI ports (including one eARC), 1 USB port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Eye comfort has also been taken care of with a slim bezel-less design, low blue light and flicker-free technology.
TCL T89D series is the premium version of this lineup, which adds QD-Mini LED Dimming technology. The refresh rate is 144Hz native, which provides a much smoother experience for gaming and fast motion content. Due to QD-Mini LED, the local dimming zone is larger, the black part is much deeper and the brightness is also higher. HDR support is also the same – including Dolby Vision, HDR10+.
The processor is a little more powerful than the standard version, and you get 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Google TV, 3 HDMI ports, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth are all present. Thanks to the Mini LED setup, you’ll get noticeably better contrast, tighter brightness control, and superior dark-scene performance compared to the standard QLED.
Audio Performance
The T6D series has 24 watts of sound output in most sizes, only 30 watts in the 75-inch. It works well enough in a normal room.
But the T89D series has 35 watts (Onkyo tuned) sound in all sizes. The higher 35W speaker output combined with Onkyo tuning delivers a punchy audio experience, meaning you might not even need a dedicated soundbar. This is a big advantage for those who want to be satisfied with the TV speakers without buying a separate soundbar.

Which one is best for whom?
TCL T6D Best for: For those who want to buy a good QLED TV for the first time and want to keep the budget a little low, the T6D is a very good option. Especially the 55-inch and 65-inch models offer attractive value here.
TCL T89D Best for: For those who want a clear improvement in picture quality by spending a little more, especially better performance in contrast and dark scenes, the T89D is much more suitable. The sound quality is also a step ahead here.
If you are strictly on a budget, the T6D is a solid entry point. But if you have the extra cash, the T89D is the real deal here. The jump to a 144Hz QD-Mini LED panel and 35W Onkyo-tuned audio makes the price difference (especially for the 55-inch model) completely worth it.”
