Google has officially started rolling out the stable version of Android 17 on June 16, 2026, bringing major improvements in performance and privacy.
The update is currently live for a wide range of devices, starting from the older Pixel 6 series all the way up to the newly released Pixel 10 lineup.
Android 17 introduces multitasking upgrades like floating App Bubbles, built-in Screen Reactions, and advanced Gemini AI capabilities. Other brands like Samsung, OnePlus, and Xiaomi are currently in the beta phase and will follow up later this year.

Google has finally released the stable version of Android 17 (codename: Cinnamon Bun). This is one of the most important updates to Android, which brings major improvements in AI, multitasking, privacy, and performance.
Google released the beta version Android 17 Beta 4 (April 2026). There has been no major Beta since then. After reaching Platform Stability Beta 3, Google is moving towards a stable release. From June 16, 2026, the stable version rollout has officially started on Google Pixel devices. It is said that it will first come to the Pixel 10 series, and then gradually spread to other Pixels.

New Features of Android 17 (in brief)
Google has integrated AI more deeply in this new OS of Android 17. We know that many innovations will be seen in the most important feature list, such as “App Bubbles”. Through these features, any app can be turned into a floating bubble. This has made it much easier to run and switch multiple apps at the same time. This was somewhat seen in the messenger app, where double time would come on the side when minimized. Gaming mode has been further optimized on foldable devices.
Security and protection have been greatly improved in this new OS, with the addition of a new Advanced Protection Mode. App data access control will be stronger. It has become easier to lock and track lost phones. Android 17 is also much further ahead in terms of AI, with more smart suggestions, custom widgets, and voice typing improvements through Gemini Intelligence. Real-time reactions have been added to screen recording.
