Motorola has recently launched its new premium smartphone Edge 70 Pro+ in the Indian market. This phone has already been added to the buying list of many due to its Pantone colors and premium finishing. After the launch, it has become clear that the phone is a powerful package not only in terms of specifications, but also in terms of design and build quality.

The Moto Edge 70 Pro Plus uses a 6.8-inch 1.5K resolution Extreme AMOLED display. The combination of a 144Hz refresh rate and peak up to 5200 nits brightness should deliver a smooth viewing experience and improved outdoor visibility. The display is curved and supports Pantone Color Validation, which helps make color reproduction more natural and looks premium. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front, but the device uses a plastic frame paired with a premium vegan leather finish on the rear panel. While the finish looks premium and improves grip, long-term wear may vary depending on usage patterns.

As a powerhouse, it has the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset. It is made on a 4nm process and supports clock speeds up to 3.4GHz. It comes with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage, which makes multitasking and heavy use smooth. Motorola has also included a 4600mm² vapor chamber cooling system to improve thermal management during demanding workloads.
Motorola has given a 50MP Pro-Grade system in the camera setup. The Sony LYTIA 710 sensor with OIS use in the Main camera which designed to improve low-light photography performance. It is accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide + macro and a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto camera, which supports 50x AI zoom. There is also a 50MP selfie camera on the front. Photo editing and scene detection have become smarter with the motoAI feature.
In terms of battery, a 6500mAh silicon-carbon cell has been used, its size is compact but the capacity is high. Despite having such a large battery, it is only about 7.34mm thick and 190g in weight. There is 90W TurboPower wired charging as well as 15W wireless charging support. In addition, Motorola has promised 3 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches with IP68 and IP69 ratings, stereo speakers and Android 16 operating system (Hello UI).

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has been launched in a total of three colors – PANTONE Chicory Coffee, Zinfandel and Stormy Sea. The starting price has been kept at ₹47,999 with the 12GB + 256GB configuration. Its price can be found at around ₹44,999 through bank offers and other deals.
The phone will be available from June 11, 2026 on Flipkart, Motorola’s official website and select retail stores. Bank cashback, exchange offer and No Cost EMI options will be available as launch offers. Additional cloud storage and other benefits can also be available through Jio SIM offer. Xiaomi 17T was launched on the same day and it will be a direct competitor to Motorola.
