The Nord 6 was launched in early April and now the Nord CE6 and its Lite version are coming in May. OnePlus has officially confirmed that the phone is launching in May. A promo page has gone live on Amazon with the tagline – “Crazy Power. Pure Play.”. With just a few days left for the launch, and from what we can tell from the leaks and official teasers, these two phones are going to be quite popular in the budget-midrange segment.
Launch Date Confirmed
OnePlus has officially announced that both the Nord CE6 and Nord CE6 Lite will be launched May 7, 2026, 12 noon IST. The two phones are being launched together, so everything will be known in a day. The promo is already running in the mobile phone section of Amazon, and the teaser clearly says “Crazy Power” – which is basically an indication of battery and performance. Looking at what has come out of the Geekbench listing and leaks in the past few days, it seems that OnePlus is really playing with “power” this time.
Specifications of Nord CE6 Lite
The Lite version will actually be the target of many, because its specifications and price are going to be attractive. Highlight features – 7000mAh battery. Normal use will easily last two days, and heavy use is expected to last more than a day. Charging support may be 80W fast charging.
OnePlus itself is claiming the highest refresh rate in the segment – 144Hz regarding the display. This has also been clearly shown in the official teaser. There will be a 6.7-inch LCD panel, which will provide a smooth feel for gaming and scrolling. MediaTek Dimensity 7400 will be the processor (with 8GB RAM), which is known from the Geekbench listing.
The camera setup is simple but functional – a 50MP main sensor with an auxiliary lens, and a 16MP front camera for selfies. Camera details and quality are expected to be decent. Other features include Android 16-based OxygenOS 16, side fingerprint sensor, expandable storage support, and IP rating.
Nord CE6 Specs (Expected)
The standard Nord CE6 will be a slightly more powerful version. Its display will likely be a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The battery is larger – possibly up to 7500mAh. The processor could be Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which will be slightly ahead of the Lite in gaming and multitasking. The camera setup will also be better, according to the leak. Looking at the design, it looks like it will be close to the flagship look of the Nord series. Overall, the CE6 will be ideal for those who want a good display and performance while spending a little more money.
Expected Price in India
The official price has not been announced yet. However, according to some leaks, the Nord CE6 Lite base variant (6/128GB) may come in the range of 20,000 to 23,000. With launch offers and bank discounts, it may even go below 19-20 thousand. And the Nord CE6 is likely to come in the range of 26,990 to 30,000.
The Lite version is ideal for those who only do daily use, YouTube, social media and light gaming. And the CE6 is for those who want a little more performance. If the battery and charging speed prove to be good in real world testing after the launch, then this series is easily going to be a good choice in the 20-30 thousand segment. However, if the official specs and price are confirmed after the launch on May 7, the decision will be more solid.
