Vivo has quietly launched its new budget segment phone Vivo T5 4G in Mexico. It packs some surprisingly premium durability features. However, Vivo had to make a few compromises. They stuck to an LCD panel just to keep the price in check.
Vivo has brought this phone targeting the Latin American market for the first time. The phone features a slim design with a metallic-looking camera module. Vivo has also focused heavily on durability by including IP68 + IP69 protection, Titan Glass and Airspring shock absorption technology. In short, Vivo has built this phone like an absolute tank to survive rough daily usage.
Specifications and Features
Vivo T5 has a large 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches up to 1200 nits of peak brightness, which should help with outdoor visibility. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 chipset built on a 6nm process. It has 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and another 8GB of virtual RAM is available through the Extended RAM feature.

For photography, it sports a 50MP main camera on the back, along with a high-res 32MP shooter upfront for selfies. Vivo also includes FlowState stabilization for improved video capture.
Pricing
Vivo T5 4G has been launched with only one storage variant. The official price in Mexico is 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM – MXN 5,799 (around ₹32,000). It can be found at a lower price with launch offers.
Currently, the phone is only available for Mexican users and no official information regarding an India launch. If Vivo decides to bring the device to India in the future, its large battery and durability-focused design could appeal to budget buyers.
