Expected to feature a massive 8000mAh battery and 45W charging, the Tecno Pova 8 5G targets heavy gamers.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 and a 144Hz display, it promises a lag-free, incredibly smooth experience.
Teased officially for the Indian market, this upcoming mid-range beast is expected to be priced extremely competitively.

Tecno’s Pova series is quite popular among Indian gamers and power users. Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G was launched in July last year, which had a 6000mAh battery, Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor and premium build quality. The next model in that series, Tecno Pova 8 5G, is now being discussed a lot.
Tecno has officially teased the Pova 8 series. “Way too much power to call this normal. POVA 8. DELETE NORMAL. Arriving soon.” – With this message, they have hinted at bringing the phone to the global market including India.
Expected specifications of Tecno Pova 8 5G
The phone will have a display of 6.76 inches to 6.78 inches with FHD+ resolution. The refresh rate is 144Hz, so gaming and scrolling will be much smoother. Touch response is expected to be better due to the use of in-cell technology. The design of this phone in the Pova series is likely to be kept slimmer this time.
Leaks suggest Tecno may use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100 5G chipset. This chipset is made on a 4nm process, which has fairly good power efficiency and performance. It will have a maximum of 8GB to 16GB RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It will get Android 16 as the operating system.
The camera setup could include 50MP main sensor + 8MP secondary lens. It also has a 13MP front camera. Reports indicate a battery capacity of around 8000mAh battery (rated 7750mAh) and 45W fast charging support.

Expected Price in India
The last phone in the Tecno Pova series was launched in India in the range of around ₹18,000 to ₹20,000. With the addition of a larger battery, new chipset and additional features in the Pova 8 5G, its starting price is expected to be between ₹25,000 to ₹30,000. The price may be slightly higher or lower depending on the variant and launch offer.
If the leaked specifications prove accurate, the Tecno Pova 8 5G could emerge as an interesting option for users looking for strong battery life and gaming-focused hardware. More detailed information will be known after the official launch.
