For those seeking a smartwatch specifically for running or fitness tracking, Amazfit is introducing a new option. The Amazfit Active 3 Premium has recently been listed on Amazon India. A dedicated launch page for the device has already gone live, suggesting that we won’t have to wait much longer for its release.
The smartwatch sports a compact and distinctly premium aesthetic. It appears to have been designed with a specific focus on runners.

It features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display. Most interestingly, it comes equipped with Sapphire Glass protection. This significantly reduces the risk of scratches, as it is an inherently scratch-resistant material. The display is claimed to remain bright and clear even when running under direct sunlight, though the specific brightness level (in Nits) has not yet been disclosed. The device is also quite lightweight – weighing just 38 grams (excluding the strap). Ensuring that it remains comfortable on the wrist even after prolonged wear.
Perhaps the most compelling feature is the battery life. Amazfit claims that the device can last for 12 days with typical usage. Under heavy usage, it is rated to last 7 days, while continuous GPS tracking will provide approximately 24 hours of backup. While such battery longevity is impressive for this price segment, the true performance will only become clear once the device officially launches.
The device is explicitly marketed as being “Built for Runners.” It offers support for over 170 sports modes. This covers not only standard running but also hybrid training, HYROX races, and strength training. It also includes an auto-recognition feature, allowing the watch to automatically detect and begin tracking a workout as soon as you start exercising.
Additionally, it features offline map support – a highly practical tool for outdoor runners. The GPS system is multi-band, which should translate to superior tracking accuracy. It features Bluetooth calling, along with capabilities such as Zepp Flow voice control, notifications, and smart replies. For health tracking, it monitors heart rate, sleep, stress, and SpO2 levels.
Amazfit Active 3 Premium Price in India (Expected)
As of now, the price in India has not been officially announced. Globally, it was priced at approximately $170 (equivalent to roughly ₹14,500–₹16,000). Upon its launch in India, it is expected to be priced within the range of ₹15,999 to ₹17,999.
