The OxygenOS 16.1 “Not Eligible” list mainly consists of older OnePlus flagships (like the 10 and 9 series) and mid-range Nord devices that have already completed their official software update lifecycle.
Eligible OnePlus devices running OxygenOS 16.1 will enjoy advanced system optimizations, smarter AI integration, and the highly anticipated Dual Bluetooth Audio support with independent volume controls.
While the flagship OnePlus 13 and 12 series are expected to lead the eligible batch for this Android 17-based update later this year, older generation models will remain on their current stable software.

Almost all OnePlus device users are waiting to get OxygenOS 16.1. It is an update based on Android 16 that brings a more polished experience and some new features. Unfortunately, there are some devices that will not see the update rolling out. Some flagship devices have already started rolling out. So let’s take a look at the names of those devices that will not see any more major updates.

However, keep in mind that sometimes the company changes its update policy at the request of the user. So some important devices may get this last OS update, but the chances of it are very low.
New Features in OxygenOS 16.1
In OxygenOS 16.1, OnePlus has added smoother animations, improved AI features, and customization. Not only this, you will also get dual Bluetooth device support features. This means you can connect two Bluetooth devices at the same time and play multimedia on both with customizable volume.
Many users have reported improvements in battery management and performance after the update. However, in some cases, there have been minor glitches in WiFi and Bluetooth, which are expected to be fixed in the next update. However, the update does not seem to be working for everyone as many have reported battery drain issues and some have reported heating issues. These are just a few of the bugs that may be fixed in the next update.
